Application of High-Definition Video Signal Integration Slip Rings in Medical Devices

In fields such as reconnaissance, surveillance, narrow-space detection, and machine vision, it is common to integrate high-resolution optical sensing systems into equipment. In most cases, the high-definition video signals generated by these systems are transmitted through coaxial cables in the SDI format. When these optical systems are integrated into joints that can rotate 360 degrees, it becomes necessary to install high-definition video signal integration slip rings to ensure the transmission of SDI signals. JINPAT, as a pioneer among slip ring manufacturers in China, possesses the capability for large-scale production of various SDI signal slip rings, including HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, 6G-SDI, and 12G-SDI, as well as their integrated products.

In addition to the mentioned fields, the medical device manufacturing industry has also begun to introduce SDI signal slip rings to assist surgeons in performing operations. For example, manufacturers choose to integrate high-definition cameras into surgical lights to aid in capturing high-definition video signals. Since most surgical lights are designed to rotate without restrictions, it is necessary to integrate SDI signal pathways into the slip rings used in them to address signal transmission issues.

As highly advanced surgical robots with various functionalities are gradually developed in the medical field, slip rings for surgical robots in this domain are also undergoing comprehensive development. SDI high-definition video signal slip rings are poised to become integral components in the visual systems of these medical robots. JINPAT possesses extensive experience in the development of multi-signal integration slip rings, enabling the transmission of various special signals within compact slip rings. Slip rings developed for the medical industry are primarily based on LPC capsule slip ring with fewer than 30 channels, LPM slip ring and some LPMS slip ring.

For instance, the LPMS-12U-HD01-08S is an extremely compact 3G-SDI signal integration slip ring, with an outer diameter of only 6.5mm and a length of 17.4mm. This slip ring may be one of the smallest 3G-SDI signal integration slip rings available in the global market. Of course, based on customer requirements, JINPAT can further enhance the LPMS-08D with a 5.5mm diameter to create an even smaller SDI signal slip ring. However, under normal circumstances, slip rings for medical SDI signals are typically developed based on LPM or LPC, as many medical devices do not have stringent requirements for slip ring size.
