Ethernet Signal Slip Ring for Monitoring Equipment

As an established international manufacturer of slip rings, JINPAT offers support for over 30 different custom telecommunications signal slip rings.

Among all the slip ring signals, Ethernet signals are the most widely used. This is because of their high data transmission rates and the integration of Ethernet signals into slip rings doesn't significantly increase costs. Furthermore, due to the highly developed field of electromechanical integration, the prevalence of Ethernet signals in slip rings far surpasses other types of digital signals.

Taking the slip rings integrated with Ethernet signals developed by JINPAT for the monitoring industry as an example, the main products belong to the capsule medium-sized LPC and miniature LPM series. These products generally have a channel count ranging from 18 to 24 channels, used for transmitting high-definition video signals such as 720P and 1080P, with transmission rates of up to 5Gbps/5GHz or higher. Among the slip rings used in monitoring equipment, the most integrated signal is the Fast Ethernet (100 Mbps) signal. For ease of installation and connection, a specialized standard shell is used as the Ethernet connector, rather than soldering an RJ45 connector or industrial Ethernet connector. This design makes the appearance of the monitoring slip ring easy to recognize, with twisted pairs and different-colored power lines all plugged into a white shell.

In surveillance systems used for building monitoring, bank security, road surveillance, and more, the high-speed dome camera is the most complex and best-performing front-end camera. As a crucial component for the motion of high-speed dome cameras, slip rings need to ensure uninterrupted data transmission during 360° high-speed rotation, while guaranteeing data integrity and fast transmission. JINPAT's LPM series and LPC series security-specific capsule slip rings employ methods like Ethernet to integrate high-frequency signals using a 509/75Q characteristic impedance coaxial structure with frequencies exceeding 50GHz. Due to limited space within high-speed dome cameras, strict requirements are placed on slip ring size. JINPAT has designed slip rings with various outer diameters, including 18mm, 22mm, 26mm, 35mm, and 54mm. These slip rings possess characteristics such as low rotational torque, smooth operation, long lifespan, compact size, and unique protective designs (up to IP68 for dust and water resistance). They meet the requirements for effective transmission of high-definition videos in different environments ranging from -40°C to +80°C.
