Introduction to JINPAT Explosion-proof Slip Ring Products and Applications

Explosion proof slip rings are specially developed for long-term operation of mechanical and electrical equipment in situations with high levels of flammable and explosive gases or dust. They are often installed on heavy-duty mechanical equipment such as fracturing trucks and oil drilling platform cranes in fossil energy mining, chemical plants, flour and coal powder processing plants, etc. As a pioneer among slip ring manufacturers, JINPAT is also at the forefront of the industry in the development of explosion-proof slip rings. JINPAT currently has the ability to develop explosion-proof slip rings for machinery operating in various dust and flammable and explosive gas environments.

According to the specific operating environment of the application terminal machinery in which flammable and explosive media (gas, dust content) are present, the explosion-proof grade of the matched explosion-proof slip ring will also vary. The corresponding explosion-proof grade of the slip ring for these different occasions also varies greatly in terms of structure, shell material, and thickness. For example, the explosion-proof slip ring specially developed by JINPAT for shale gas mining and fracturing trucks is a smaller cylindrical slip ring with the model LPT000-0710EX, which has a diameter of only 88mm and a length of only 138mm. In the JINPAT product series, both column and through-hole types are uniformly classified into the hollow shaft series, and LPT050-1020-EX is a product with similar uses to this column explosion-proof slip ring.

The JINPAT Hollow Shaft Series explosion-proof slip rings are small products that only transmit current and do not have high power and signal transmission capabilities. Therefore, they can only be applied to on-board equipment and some small equipment. Heavy machinery such as oil drilling platform cranes have high requirements for the power transmission capability of the slip rings, and some cranes also require the slip rings to have signal transmission capability. JINPAT has developed explosion-proof slip rings for this type of heavy equipment, with more cases and products. In order to transmit larger power and ensure long-term stability, these products adopt a carbon brush structure.

In terms of appearance, these carbon brush explosion-proof slip rings are no different from the ordinary high protection level high current slip rings of JINPAT. However, in order to meet the corresponding explosion-proof requirements, the thickness of their shell is significantly thicker than the ordinary high current slip rings. In general, the shell thickness of JINPAT high-power explosion-proof slip rings is above 10mm, and they are made of Q235 or 304 grade ordinary steel and stainless steel materials. Representative examples of this type of JINPAT explosion-proof slip ring include LPA000-04400-0663-0310-10S-EX, LPA000-05200-01PE-0563-EX, etc. With the gradual application of fiber optic slip rings in various industries, explosion-proof slip rings using fiber optic slip rings as signal modules have also appeared in industries such as marine geophysical exploration. JINPAT also has the ability to develop such products.
