New Precision OCXOs Provide ULTRA Low Phase Noise (ULPN) and Low G-Sensitivity (LGS)

For a 10 MHz output signal the phase noise at 1 Hz from the carrier is better than

-110 dBc/Hz (optional -115 dBc/Hz); at 10 Hz offset it is already better than

-140 dBc/Hz (optional –145 dBc/Hz) at 100 Hz it is better than -155 dBc/Hz (optional -160 dBc/Hz), at 1 kHz it is better -165 dBc/Hz and at 10 kHz offset you can see -170 dBc/Hz.

In addition to the excellent phase noise performance the new OCXOs provide low dynamic G sensitivity of better than 1 ppb/g for all three axes. The frequency stability vs. temperature is better than ±50 ppb (±5 x 10-8) in the temperature range from -20 to +70 °C. Extended temperature range versions are available on request.

For applications the G sensitivity is not an issue we can offer frequency stability vs. temperature of better than ±5 ppb (±5 x 10-9).

The long term stability (aging) is better than ±0.3 ppm within 10 years.

The parts are housed within a hermetically sealed European standard package size of 36 mm x 24 mm x 20 mm for the thruhole part.

applications what need excellent short term stability and phase noise performance – like reference clock for microwave signal sources, professionell satellite receivers, radar applications, test & measurement and many others. Due to the low G sensitivity the hermetically sealed package option is suitable for applications with demanding environmental requirements (shock, vibration, humidity, dust) as it is requested for several military or avionic applications.
