Lasermet - the Glaser Jailer – New Active Laser Safety Window.
enables a high powered laser to be switched off virtually
immediately if the laser beam inadvertently strikes the
window.
The window is fitted within the panels of the “Laser Castle”
Laser Safety Cabin and electrically connected to the
interlock controller.
It enables personnel to view the laser welding operation
being carried out inside the laser cabin.
Multi-kilowatt lasers used for welding, cutting and cladding
can be made safe, preventing harm to personnel and
preventing damage to surrounding infrastructure by
incorporating the Glaser Jailer window.
It is suitable for all laser powers, wavelengths and
waveforms.
It can be combined with Lasermet''s “Laser Jailer” active
laser guarding system to provide a complete active solution.
This revolutionary active technology is already tested and
proven - and is currently in operation worldwide.
The Glaser Jailer window is continuously monitored while
the laser is in operation. A direct hit from a powerful laser
will cause the sensor panel within the window to activate
the interlocked controller which then turns off the laser.
This failsafe technology isolates the laser safety input on
the laser in less than 50 milli-seconds.
Following a direct hit the window should be replaced but
only after an investigation has been completed as to the
cause of the direct hit and corrective measures have been
implemented to prevent it re-occurring.
Dimensions
Viewing aperture is 50cm x 76cm Approx
