Build it in and let it run - Rack Gearboxes by Leantechnik last for a machine lifetime
The mechanical principle of lifgo- and lean SL- gearboxes and the combination of gears and guidance in one piece functions without complex electronics. Synchronous, precise and fast lifting-, steering- and positioning movements are made possible with the gearboxes – and that is, how many examples have shown, possible for a very long time span.
Nine million cycles, therefore at least a machine lifetime, are guaranteed by Leantechnik. Thanks to the elaborate construction, a high quality in manufacturing and the particular know-how in gear technology plant manufacturers don’t have to worry about the gearboxes once they are built in. No complicated electronics, no necessary software engineering just a simple but highly efficient and for a long life span predestinated function principle.
For more than eight years have the rack gearboxes been working perfectly fine in the case of a customer. A few weeks ago 60 million liftings were counted by the meter when the machine, which was constructed to produce rails for drawers, for the first time didn’t work properly. An exchange of the gearboxes has still not been necessary since cleaning and lubrication was enough to get the machine running again.
The example shows that the renunciation of complex electronics is the reason that there are no disruptions, a surveillance free working process and a remarkably long life span of the gearboxes. This technology at the same time contributes to sustainability in Mechanical Engineering. While the lifetime of machines and sites are extending and showing a better efficiency, in the long run fewer resources are needed to produce new machine components. The “Innovation of mechanics” which Leantechnik tries to accomplish therefore stands for a comprehensive sustainable approach, equally to the Industry 4.0, which is becoming more important to a greater number of companies in their strategic direction.
