Considering the worldwide economic challenges, Lutz Holding GmbH is focusing more on research and development as well as digital transformation across the group. The products developed include a pump for lubricating grease that can be operated with a standard cordless screwdriver and mobile technology for the treatment of drinking water used in crisis areas in Ukraine. In recognition of this exceptional innovative strength, the company has now been awarded the TOP 100 Seal, a contest organized under the scientific direction of Prof. Dr. Franke of the Vienna University of Economics and Business, one of the world’s leading researchers in innovation.
“For us, innovation is not an end in itself, but the foundation of our success,” emphasizes managing director Heinz Lutz. “The fact that we received an award on our very first attempt shows just how much the ideas of our employees are shaping the future of our company.”
This innovative strength is evident in concrete projects of great social and technical significance. Fully automated mobile water treatment plants provide up to 300,000 people in crisis-stricken areas such as Ukraine with clean drinking water—with support from GIZ (German Society for International Cooperation).
The company has also attracted international attention with one of its most recent inventions: The Lutz LubeDrive grease pump, which can be powered by a standard cordless screwdriver and makes workstations more ergonomic by eliminating cumbersome, heavy, and expensive motors and pneumatic connections.
“Our strength lies in developing practical solutions that offer real added value to customers worldwide—whether through more efficient processes, sustainable technologies, or customized system solutions,” adds Takumi Nasu, Head of Research & Development at Lutz Pumpen.
This innovative strength is no accident; it is part of our corporate culture, in which we encourage new ideas, embrace bold approaches, and actively drive technological progress. A key component of this culture is digital transformation, which opens up new ways for us to connect knowledge and implement projects with even greater agility.
“For us, digital transformation is a key driver for strengthening the innovative capacity of our entire group and unlocking new potential in other areas,” says Susanne Maurer, Head of IT at the Lutz Group.
With over 70 years of experience, branches in 13 countries, and more than 130 representatives worldwide, the Lutz Group sets the standard in fluid management and environmental technology. The TOP 100 Award confirms that innovative strength is a key competitive advantage that strengthens companies in the long term and drives their growth.
The spoils: On June 26, Lutz Holding GmbH will be honored by mentor Christian Wulff, former President of Germany, at the German SME Summit in Heidelberg.
