NEW MULTIPASS GTAW ORBITAL PIPE WELD Head FOR SOUR GAS LINES

The T-Head is designed to make pipe-to-pipe and pipe-to-fittings welds with precision by mimicking the motions of a skilled manual welder, thereby improving productivity, producing consistent quality welds, and reducing repair rates.

It features Torch Rotation, Electronic Arc Gap Control, Filler Wire feed and Electronic Oscillation, and is used for larger diameter/heavy wall applications such as in Fossil and Nuclear Power Plants, Steam Generation, processing piping, and more. The Water-Cooled Torch uses standard consumables. Guide Rings, which allow use on preheated pipe, are available for standard pipe sizes. Flx-Track™ allows ID and OD welding on larger tanks and vessels.

The T-Head system is in use for welding CRA and Inconel® ID clad pipelines for sour gas transmission.

Pipe Welding System for Large Diameter ID/OD Applications

The Magnatech Pipeliner is designed to make pipe-to-pipe and pipe-to-fitting welds using the GMAW/FCAW processes. Interchangeable guide rings mount the Head on the pipe, allowing a broad workpiece size range from 16.8 – 152cm (6 - 60”) and larger. AUTOPROGRAMMABLE ORBITAL PIPE WELDING SYSTEMS

Magnatech’s Pipemaster power source models are used for multipass orbital pipe welding. The Pipemaster 515 model has a 150 amp output, and the 516 model either 200 or 400 amp output. They control weld Head mechanical functions for torch rotation, wire feed, torch oscillation, arc voltage control, and control of arc length. The power sources can operate 22 different models of Magnatech weld heads as well as certain competitor models.
