Development of Planetary Gear Module for use in Space

We developed a modularized Planetary Gear Reducer prototype to be built into a gearhead designed for use in space.
The gear and shaft parts, which require high strength and wear resistance, were built using martensitic stainless steel. We performed heat treatment to ensure surface hardness, and parts other than the gears consisted of corrosion-resistant materials to protect against corrosive fuels.
We are certainly not limited to the frontier of space and can help develop any custom reducer suited to your needs, such as Planetary Gear Modules made from non-magnetic materials.
