Mersen puts out a new range of HV UTE standard fuses with low power losses

Mersen is committed to proposing innovative solutions, with a special focus on finding ways to reduce footprints and optimize energy efficiency.

As part of those efforts, Mersen is bringing out a complete range of HV fuses built to UTE standards with low power losses. These new Limitor® HV UTE 24kV fuses are designed to protect HV/LV power and distribution transformers as well as HV power distribution systems, in compliance with UTE standard C64-210.

Product Manager Claire Roche says: "These new fuses were specially designed with very low power losses for use in SF6-insulated or compact air-insulated fused switchgear combinations. This range is both economical, in the sense that it permits savings on operating costs, and complete, in that new ratings have been added to extend the existing range, and new models, with or without strikers, have been added to all the ratings."

An economical range

• 30 to 40% less power losses compared to conventional products

• Less temperature rise

• Power savings

A full basket of products

The range has been extended with fur new ratings: 10A, 20A, 25A, 50A, and the 32A rating becomes a 31.5A rating in accordance with IEC 60282-1.

Each rating is available with or without a striker.
