Stepper Motors for Extreme Environmental Conditions

MICROSTEP GmbH developed a new series at stepper motors with IP65 type protection

The motors were conceived particularly for use in environmental conditions characterized by humidity, wetness, dust exposure or aggressive media. Due to the special design and the enclosed stainless steel housing, the motors are uniquely suitable also for use in medical technology, as well as in the chemical and food industry. Upon request, a higher level of protection up to IP67 can be achieved. Structurally, the motor was designed with a 1.8 degree step angle (200 steps per rotation) and a maximum retaining torque of 0.3 Nm. The adaptation of the motor is in keeping with NEMA 17 (distance over hubs 42 mm). The electrical connection of the motor is made with an M12 industrial plug, in which the connecting cable can also be shielded.
