Motive ATDC brake motors, now also in IP56 and IP66 version

Now you can have also in IP56 or IP66 versions Motive ATDC self-braking motors

Designing and producing a TEFC self-braking motor in IP56 or IP66 versions is a complex and rare challenge. The few manufacturers who have succeeded chose to enclose the brake in a bell housing, compromising ventilation and reducing the motor's service, power, and longevity. At Motive, however, we have overcome this challenge. Now you can have ATDC self-braking motors, ventilated and in continuous service S1, also in IP56 or IP66 versions.

Let's recall the difference between an IP55 motor and an IP66 motor: the former can handle a fair amount of exposure to dust and low-pressure water jets, while IP66 motors are completely sealed against dust and resistant to powerful water jets. IP66 motors are ideal for marine applications, offshore, car washes, and other harsh environments.

The IP66 version covers the entire range of ATDC self-braking motors, from size 63 to size 280, with IE2, IE3, or IE4 efficiency levels. The IP66 is already configurable on our online configurator. You can combine it with C5M painting, winding encapsulation to make it condensation-proof, and anti-corrosion coating on the shaft and rotor.
