Taipei, Taiwan – Nov. 16th, 2022 – Neousys Technology, an industry-leading provider of rugged embedded systems, announced its new in-vehicle fanless computer powered by the Intel® Elkhart Lake quad-core processor, the Nuvo-2610VTC series. Geared for off-highway and railway applications, they meet the prerequisites by offering M12 connectors for rugged connectivity and an optional SuperCAP UPS to countermeasure against power interruptions. Offering a CPU performance comparable to Intel 6th Gen Core i3 processors, Nuvo-2610VTC has rich I/Os and a flexible patented expansion Cassette module. All these features make it an optimal computer solution for on-road, off-highway, or railway applications such as mobile gateways, data loggers, network video recorders (NVR), or as a backup computer.

Nuvo-2610VTC series comes in three variants. In addition to Nuvo-2610VTC, there are also Nuvo-2611VTC and Nuvo-2612VTC that are equipped with a patented expansion Cassette module. Nuvo-2611VTC comes with a SuperCAP UPS in the Cassette module that can, during unforeseen power outages, sustain system operations to safely shutdown, or counter power disruptions that occurs frequently on trains; while Nuvo-2612VTC has a PCIe slot in the Cassette module that can accommodate an AI accelerator or an add-on PCIe card according to your needs.

Nuvo-2610VTC series is equipped with a rich set of interfaces including four Gigabit PoE+ ports via M12 x-coded connectors, two USB 3.1 ports with the screw-lock mechanism, isolated DIO, 15kV ESD protected COM port, etc. There is also a front-accessible 2.5” HDD tray that can accommodate a 7-15mm height 2.5" SSD/HDD up to 5TB in storage capacity. For internal expansion, there are two mini-PCIe expansion slots for wireless WiFi/ CAN/ GNSS modules; an M.2 2280 supporting a SATA SSD and an M.2 B key socket to install a 5G/ 4G/ LTE mobile broadband module. Operation wise, the series supports wide range 8V - 35V DC input with ignition control and wide temperature -40°C to 70°C operations to thrive in harsh environments.

"We believe that reliable connection and stable power management are keys to in-vehicle computer deployments. In addition to a performance processor, Nuvo-2610VTC series offers an abundance of M12 PoE+/ USB 3.1 Gen1/ isolate DIO ports, wireless mobile broadband support through expansion, wide-range DC input with ignition power control and SuperCAP UPS (Nuvo-2611VTC) to reinforce overall system functionality. It is the perfect multi-purpose computer for rugged in-vehicle and rolling stock applications." said Kaichu Wu, Product Manager at Neousys Technology.
