Background: A large commercial building located in the city center encompasses multiple floors with complex electrical, communication, plumbing, and other comprehensive pipeline systems. Implementation: Firstly, the engineering team conducted detailed surveys and analyses of the building's internal pipeline systems, determining the types and sizes of fire sleeves required for each pipeline. Subsequently, following the design specifications, fire sleeves were installed and securely fastened to each pipeline, ensuring complete coverage and tight fitting over the pipeline surfaces.
Results: By implementing fire protection measures for the comprehensive pipeline systems in the commercial building, the management effectively enhanced the overall fire resistance of the building. During daily operations, the fire sleeves protected the pipeline systems from fire damage, thereby reducing the risk of fires. Additionally, the fire sleeves contributed to increased stability and reliability of the pipeline systems, extending the lifespan of equipment and reducing maintenance costs.
