More power, same reliability: new DA-500M4 amplifier
With the new DA-500M4 we're expanding our range of standard digital power amplifiers with a higher performance option, designed for projects requiring greater output without sacrificing ease of use.
*More power, same format*
The DA-500M4 shares the same compact format as the DA-240M4: a single 1U chassis for 19" rack mounting, with four independent Class D amplifiers. This version reaches up to 4 x 500W RMS on 100V line, or 4 x 320W RMS at 8 ohms, making it a highly competitive option for medium and large-scale projects.
Each channel has a balanced input with individual volume control, selectable high-pass filter (HPF), and autonomous operation with standby mode. Universal 110~230V AC power supply, dual internal fan system and LED indicators for signal, peak, protection and power complete a proposition built to last.
In a market where power values are often inflated with figures that don't reflect real-world use, at OPTIMUS we measure the DA-500M4's performance under real conditions: continuous 1kHz output for over an hour. The declared RMS value isn't theoretical, but the one that actually allows precise dimensioning of an installation. This is particularly important data in distributed sound systems, where speaker load must remain stable even at maximum power and during extended periods of use.
*Safety, efficiency and control*
The design incorporates protection circuits against short circuits, overloads, signal peaks and overheating, ensuring stable operation even in demanding environments. With a signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 80dB and total harmonic distortion below 0.1%, audio quality remains constant without compromising energy efficiency.
If you already know the DA-240M4, this new version will feel familiar. The DA-500M4 follows the same logic: reliability, quick installation and no complications. Only one thing changes: now you have more power to connect more speakers, or more powerful speakers, with the same ease as always.
And if you haven't worked with these amplifiers yet, now's the time to try a solution that gets straight to the point. Connect, adjust the volume and you're done. It's that simple.
