SIP integration: a key evolution in public address and intercom management

This functionality, already available in the DT-700ETH and DT-800ETH microphone desks, allows a fully bidirectional communication with SIP intercom devices, centralising calls and simplifying operational management.

Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is a widely adopted technology in Voice over IP systems, ideal for open and scalable integrations. Until now, any SIP device could broadcast messages to the system's speakers via SIP integration, and with this new upgrade, OPTIMUS desks can connect directly to standard SIP intercoms, reducing installation costs, maintenance and complexity in the system architecture.

This integration allows any SIP device to broadcast messages directly to the public address and voice alarm system, whether COMPACT or OPTIMAX, ensuring a rapid response to any eventuality.

*Centralised communication and full control*

The system not only allows calls to be received from SIP Intercom points, but also manages their priority and destination. This means that, in a multi-incident situation, calls can be automatically organised according to their level of urgency or location, facilitating a more agile and efficient response.

Communication is in real time with full-duplex audio, and is complemented by advanced features such as:
- Adjustable ringtones and duration
- Discreet call listening without direct intervention
- Point-to-point (P2P) or SIP proxy calling
- Automatic call forwarding
- Remote access control via DTMF tones

All managed from a single interface, making it easy for technical or security personnel to use and minimising emergency response times.
