CapitaLand’s Data Centre in Hyderabad (India)

Safety Solutions for CapitaLand’s Data Centre in Hyderabad (India)

CapitaLand, the Asian giant, places its trust in OPTIMUS technology to safeguard its new data centre in India. A strategic decision that positions us at the heart of Asia’s booming tech sector, where data centres are multiplying and the demand for high-quality safety solutions is reaching new heights.

[OPTIMUS and TSG: European-certified emergency technology in Hyderabad, the Silicon Valley of India]

Located in Hyderabad, one of India’s major technology hubs, CapitaLand Group’s new data centre is a critical infrastructure asset forming part of a global network of 27 facilities across Asia and Europe, with a combined capacity of 800 megawatts.

In such an environment, where reliability and operational continuity are non-negotiable, managing emergency communications becomes a key pillar. This project is a clear example of how our voice alarm and public address systems, certified to the EN54 standard, can be integrated effectively into high-level critical environments, guaranteeing safety, clarity, and interoperability.

Within this framework, OPTIMUS worked in close collaboration with our local partner TSG to design and supply a state-of-the-art voice alarm and public address system, manufactured in Spain and certified under EN54—a global reference in voice evacuation applications.

[OPTIMUS Compact: a tailor-made solution]

The system installed at CapitaLand stands out for its modular IP-based architecture:
- Audio matrices: based on modular IP amplifiers with DSP and monitoring functions OPTIMUS COMPACT IF-7P4ETH, power modules and all necessary components to ensure a flexible, reliable, and operational setup.
- Control stations: DC-700ETH/T paging consoles with 7” touchscreens are used to manage live announcements, background music, and scheduled messages.
- Redundancy and reliability: The system is designed with maximum reliability in mind—featuring redundant power supply, dual Ethernet connections, hot-swappable modular amplifiers, and an auxiliary power supply unit (PS-630E) to ensure service continuity in the event of a power outage.

The installation also includes more than 700 audio points, including ceiling speakers, sound projectors, and speaker boxes, ensuring optimal intelligibility throughout the entire building—both during daily operation and emergency situations.
