Automotive Packaging Waste Removal
Waste Removal
Paramount bespoke Mini-System provides a perfect solution to waste packaging removal from a new automated Automotive assembly line.
Paramount Mini-System waste handling solutions were originally developed for small printing companies to collect trimmed waste from guillotines. Today, in an effort keep factory floors clean, tidy and have simple automated waste removal there is interest from many sectors.
The design allows for one of three key technologies.
Blower fans provide a simple, cost-effective solution for conveying small waste items, provided the pickup and ducting are carefully designed.
Venturi fan systems are ideal for continuous trim removal, although they typically require larger fans resulting in higher running costs.
Chopper fans are used for larger waste products that need size reduction before conveying, but their use can be limited due to the dust they generate.
A recent installation by Paramount Waste demonstrates the system’s versatility. Designed for an automotive assembly line, the solution included a blower fan, pickup hood, conveyor, ducting, and dissipator. Waste packaging from three robotic assembly stations is conveyed to the pickup hood, where a high-velocity airflow transports the material efficiently to a collection bin. Accurate calculations of airflow, velocity, and motor size ensure optimal performance while minimising energy consumption and operating costs and noise.
Typically ducting would be at high level to avoid using valuable floor space.
The installation exceeded customer expectations, highlighting Paramount Waste’s ability to deliver reliable, cost-effective waste transportation solutions.
