The PCE-CT 1000 has been specifically developed for the demanding analysis of complex material structures. Based on the pulse-echo principle of ultrasonic measurement, it can reliably measure the total thickness of coatings and, critically, determine the thickness of up to three individual layers in a single pass. This function is essential for quality control in the painting, composite, and plastics industries. In particular, the non-destructive measurement of lacquer and coating systems on wooden substrates offers enormous added value for carpenters, furniture manufacturers, and restorers.
