Pilz secures combination test rigs with a complete solution comprising sensor, control and drive technology.

Schüco is one of the market leaders for innovative building envelopes with international competence in windows, doors and facades. Before products are allowed to leave the headquarters in Bielefeld, they are rigorously tested to ensure flawless function and strength in accordance with DIN EN 13126-8.

The requirement at Schüco was to develop safe test rigs, which would allow no restrictions in terms of flexibility and productivity. Schüco employed automation and safety solutions from Pilz to ensure that both the windows and the relevant operators are kept safe during the test procedure.

The complete solution comprising sensor technology (safety gate system PSENslock), control technology (configurable control system PNOZmulti) and drive technology (servo amplifier PMCprotego D with safety card PMCprotego S and servo motor PMCtendo) meets all the requirements of the market leader.
