Rotary Encoder in SMD-housing

POSIC extends ist product portfolio with the IT5602C: a rotary encoder in the form of an SMD-component with dimensions 8 x 10 x 0.8 mm. Resolution and maximum speed are programmable up to 22 bits (1 million lines) and 8600 RPM respectively. The output signals are A- and B-pulses in quadrature and an Index-pulse that is synchronized to the A- and B-transitions. Thanks to the eddy current measurement-principle, the encoder is immune against magnetic fields and is therefore perfectly suited for integration in rotary direct drives and other applications where magnetic fields and/or small space render the use of other types of encoders kits difficult or impossible.
Typical application areas include industrial automation, robotics, machine tools, laboratory automation and medical instruments.
