PREMIUM RFID readers also available with RS485 interface

ProxTech’s PREMIUM range of RFID readers, available for 125 kHz EM and 13.56 MHz MIFARE, are also available in a standard RS485 version.

Many systems often apply bus structures for easy installation and cost-effective cabling. Amongst many different bus structures, the RS485 structure is still one of the most used and one of the easiest to handle and to integrate.

Its easy command set, without the needs of very specific data structures, allows RS485 to be integrated in the most various applications.

But when RFID readers are concerned, we see that a lot of readers offer standard data interfaces such as RS232, Wiegand or Clock/Data, but only few can also be installed on a RS485 bus.

ProxTech’s PREMIUM RFID readers normally come with many data interfaces integrated in the reader. But they can also be supplied in a special RS485 version. With a simple RS485 command set and an easy addressing method of the readers, these 125 kHz EM and 13.56 MHz MIFARE can be integrated without any effort in a RS485 bus, offering all the advantages of a proven and stable bus technology.
