QleanAir France at CFIA: mastering air quality in food processing

Food safety, airborne contaminant control and industrial performance

At CFIA Rennes, QleanAir France presents its scientific approach to indoor air quality for food processing environments with high sanitary constraints.

The European food processing industry operates under a regulatory and operational framework where food safety, compliance and production performance are inseparable. Indoor air quality plays a decisive yet often underestimated role, directly influencing cross-contamination control, microbiological stability and operator protection. In this context, air becomes a critical process parameter rather than a simple comfort variable.

Against this backdrop, QleanAir France announces its presence at CFIA Rennes, stand 12 A28. The company will present an approach based on measurement, control and targeted treatment of industrial air, aligned with the realities of food production sites and current regulatory expectations.

Food processing environments are exposed to a wide range of airborne contaminants. Dust from flours, starches and functional powders promotes surface deposits, cross-contamination and, in some cases, explosion risks. Airborne micro-organisms, moulds and spores represent a direct sanitary threat to products and sensitive zones. Added to this are vegetable oil mists, persistent fluorinated compounds such as PFAS, and odour issues that can disrupt processes and affect working conditions.

QleanAir deploys a proven industrial methodology combining airflow analysis, real-time measurement and high-efficiency filtration solutions adapted to food industry constraints. The objective is not to over-ventilate, but to capture and treat pollutants as close as possible to their source while preserving airflow integrity and hygiene conditions. This approach makes risks measurable, secures audits and inspections, and sustainably improves both sanitary control and operational performance across food processing sites.
