Haryana Leather Chemicals improves powder screening efficiency with the Finex Ultima™ and Russell Vibrasonic® Deblinding System

Haryana Leather Chemicals Ltd., a trusted manufacturer of performance chemicals supplying the leather, footwear, and textile sectors, has increased screening productivity by 50% after upgrading its powder separation process.

Operating in North India, Haryana Leather Chemicals processes fine, sticky, irregular chemical powders that previously posed significant challenges. An outdated spring model sifter fitted with a basic stainless-steel wire mesh suffered from frequent mesh blinding, slowing screening rates and turning routine separation into a labor intensive task. As a result, 5–10% of total operational time was spent cleaning the mesh and carrying out sieve maintenance, negatively impacting overall productivity.

To overcome these limitations and support growing production demands, Haryana sought a modern screening solution that would improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and deliver consistent product quality.

Finex Ultima™: Transforming chemical powder screening
Haryana invested in the Finex Ultima™ grading sieve and, with the support of Russell Finex’s local team, seamlessly integrated the equipment into its facility. The system was also fitted with the Russell Vibrasonic® Deblinding System, which uses ultrasonic vibration to prevent mesh blinding and enables effective screening on fine meshes down to 20 microns.

Since installing the Finex Ultima™ with the Russell Vibrasonic® Deblinding System, Haryana Leather Chemicals has achieved a 50% increase in screening capacity. The team can now process up to 700 kilograms of powder per hour while significantly reducing maintenance requirements and unplanned downtime. The improved screening performance has also enhanced final product consistency and provided greater flexibility to adapt to changing production demands.
