Adipic acid, also known as fatty acid, is an important organic dibasic acid. It is loose and has a wide range of particle size distribution. It can be polycondensed with a diamine or a glycol to form a polymer. Adipic acid is a dicarboxylic acid of great industrial significance. It plays an important role in chemical production, organic synthesis industry, medicine, lubricant manufacturing, etc. Adipic acid is mainly used as a raw material for the production of nylon 66, engineering plastics and other ester products ,such as polyurethane elastomers. It is also used for acidification of various foods and beverages.

The heat required for drying is mainly provided by the heat exchanger built in the bed. So the amount of air medium is only the minimum amount needed to fluidize the material and remove moisture.
