150 Ton Hydraulic Press with Traveling Column: Customized Solution for Large Pipe Shrinking
We are excited to introduce our 150-ton hydraulic press with traveling column, a state-of-the-art machine completely customized to meet the specific needs of one of our customers. Designed for large pipe shrink-fitting operations, this press combines power, precision and innovative features to ensure exceptional results on every job.
Construction and Functional Features:
This press is distinguished by its large upper table of 1600 mm in diameter, which makes it ideal for pressing pipes with considerable widths. The movement of the upper plate is guaranteed by 6 sliding guides, ensuring precise descent and total safety.
The lower bench is fully welded to the press frame, with dimensions of 1830 mm x 1830 mm, giving stability and robustness to the entire machine. A distinctive feature is the addition of two 2-meter extensions behind the work platform. These extensions serve to increase the stroke of the upper mobile mast, allowing it to reach a safe “parking” position when not in use.
Controls and Operational Safety:
The hydraulic press is easy and intuitive to handle, managed by two separate levers: one for the descent of the upper table and one for the forward and backward sliding of the gantry. Operator safety is a priority: the hydraulic cylinder can descend only when the upright is at the end of its stroke and in contact with the safety microswitch. On the contrary, the cylinder can be raised in any position of the gantry, as it does not represent a danger for the operator.
A small display has been integrated into the electrical panel that shows in real time the pressure in tons developed by the machine, providing the operator with immediate feedback on the force applied to the piece. The pressure is easily adjustable via a special knob located near the control lever.
Finally, this hydraulic press for shrinking with a moving column is equipped with a pressure block valve. This valve prevents hydraulic fluid from flowing back into the circuit, keeping the pressure in the piston nearly constant and ensuring uniform and precise shrinking.
