New PMM 200 Moving Column Hydraulic Press: Industry 4.0 Technology and Integration for Industrial Straightening

SICMI announces the completion and delivery of a new ultra-precision system: the PMM 200 ME moving column hydraulic press, specifically configured to streamline industrial straightening processes for heavy metal fabrication.

This 200-ton hydraulic press features an optimized work area, featuring a massive 2500x3000 mm milled bed and a 2550 mm clearance between uprights. Thanks to its motorized hydraulic movements—with a cylinder displacement of 1900 mm and a 2000 mm upright—the machine allows for extremely flexible operation on large surfaces, minimizing part handling times.

Digital Control and Smart Manufacturing
The true technological heart of this model lies in the Siemens management and automation system. Equipped with an advanced CPU and a KTP 700 Basic color touchscreen display positioned directly on the moving column, the press offers real-time display of pressure and dimensions, as well as programming of 100 work recipes. Operators can configure crucial parameters, down to the tenth of a millimeter, such as:

Top and bottom dead center of the cylinder

Decompression times and pause at the bottom

Operating pressure via transducer and stroke reading via wire encoder

Safety and Industry 4.0 Ready
In line with the most modern production standards, the PMM 200 ME is natively set up for Industry 4.0. A dedicated communications card enables two-way data exchange with the company network for monitoring alarms, parts produced, and recipes in use. Furthermore, an integrated remote assistance system via a secure VPN line ensures immediate remote technical support.
