Fast signal processing, comfortable handling and high vibrations resistance are among the core properties of the compact control and I/O system S-DIAS from SIGMATEK. From a modular system toolkit, CPU, digital & analog I/O, motion, Safety and special function modules can be combined and configured as needed.

With the high packaging density of up to 20 channels on 12.5 x 104 x 72 mm (W x H x D), machine and system manufacturers are supported in mastering the growing complexity of their machines. And that with the same control cabinet volume!

The machine manufacturer profits from the modularity and the option to distribute the application over multiple CPUs. Therefore flexible, customer-specific machine concepts can be realized, which are easily expandable and adapted to future requirements.

The smart I/O system communicates via the hard real-time Ethernet bus VARAN with 100 Mbit/s. Individual I/O modules can be accessed within 1.12 µs. In the maximum configuration, a total of 64 participants with up to 1280 I/Os can be connected per VARAN bus interface (update time < 60 µs).

The seamless integrated and modular Safety system from SIGMATEK includes a Safety CPU, as well as relevant Safe I/O and relay modules. The Safety system is TÜV-certified (SIL CL 3 in accordance with IEC 62061 and EN ISO 13849-1/-2, Cat. 4, PL e).

In S-DIAS, the electronics, bus and DIN rail mounting are combined in one module housing. A further distinguishing feature is the mechanical interlocking for a form-fitting, vibration-proof connection of the modules. Signal LEDs next to each channel enable clear diagnosis when an error occurs. Through toolless wiring (push-in connectors), blockwise pre-installation and DIN rail mounting, the initial start-up times are drastically reduced.
