The DC 062: Axis module with incremental encoder input
The S-DIAS series from SIGMATEK is expanded by an axis module with incremental encoder input. The DC 062 is used for axis control of synchronous servo motors. With a power rating of 300 W, a continuous current of up to 6 Amperes at 48 V DC can be achieved. Over a short period of time, even a peak current of up to 15 Amperes is possible.
The integrated 32 bit incremental encoder input with a counter frequency of up to 500 kHz provides cost-effective position evaluation.
The S-DIAS servo amplifier is equipped with a 2-channel Enable input. It allows the implementation of the TÜV-certified function STO (Safe Torque Off) for applications up to SIL 3, (according to EN 62061) and category 4, PL e (EN ISO 13849-1/2).
The axis module also features a +24 V DC output for connecting a holding brake. During braking, the energy is fed back into the intermediate circuit.
The motion library of the engineering tool LASAL offers a large selection of predefined motion function components. Application development is therefore simplified and accelerated.
