Silverson Mixing Guides – Carbopol
Silverson Machines has released a new series of '30 Second Mixing Guides'.
These videos aim to quickly show the benefits of Silverson High Shear Mixers for various applications. Already in the series is a 30 second mixing guide on Pectin and a recently released guide on mixing Carbopol.
Low density powders such as Carbopol can be difficult to incorporate as they tend to float when added to water. Vigorous agitation is required for these powders to be incorporated, which cannot be provided by conventional mixing equipment.
A high shear Silverson mixer can create an agglomerate-free solution, resulting in a clear, bright gel in a matter of minutes. Silverson offers a number of mixing options for various batch sizes from Laboratory to full-scale production.
