Tackling Hidden Plastics in Minced Meat: INNDEO Redefines Food Quality Inspection with the Specim-Powered INSPECTRA CHP® Solution

How INNDEO integrates Specim’s FX10 & FX17 hyperspectral cameras into its INSPECTRA BULK INSPECTOR system to detect low-density plastic fragments and other contaminants in minced meat production lines

INNDEO, a Spanish machine-vision equipment and food inspection machinery manufacturer, leveraged Specim’s hyperspectral imaging technology to address one of the toughest challenges in minced-meat processing: low-density foreign bodies (such as plastics) that evade conventional inspection systems. Their INSPECTRA BULK INSPECTOR, using Specim’s FX10 (400-1000 nm) and FX17 (900-1700 nm) line-scan cameras, captures full spectral fingerprints of every pixel – making plastics, soft bones and other hidden contaminants visible. The result: improved food safety, fewer recalls, lower waste, and enhanced process analytics across production.
