GPAINNOVA breaks its turnover record for the sixth consecutive year, reaching 26 million euros

It recorded a 51 percent growth in the last quarter of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.

GPAINNOVA, a business group specializing in metal surface finishing solutions, once again broke its annual turnover record in 2022, reaching €26 million. This represents a double-digit percentage increase (12 percent) compared to the figure for 2021, equivalent to €23.2 million, thus linking six consecutive years of growth and multiplying the 2016 figure by 43 (600,000 euros). This trend was accentuated in the last quarter, when turnover was 52 percent higher than in the same period of the previous year (€13.12 million in 2022 compared to €8.65 million in 2021).

The corporation also consolidated its sales in the industrial sector and in international markets, achieving machinery sales in 40 countries on five continents. Foreign trade played a major role in business activity, with exports accounting for 95 percent of last year’s turnover. In the words of Pau Sarsanedas, GPAINNOVA’s CEO and co-founder, the policy of continuous improvement and "innovation" contributed to the fact that the group "has consolidated its global presence".

He also stresses that these results have been obtained in an adverse international context, marked by the outbreak of war in Ukraine in February last year; the escalation of energy, fuel and raw material prices; the worst inflationary scenario in Europe since the 1980s, and severe supply chain disruptions, due in part to the confinements in China because of COVID-19.

GPAINNOVA's figures are also explained by a significant increase in annual turnover at its US subsidiary, which posted a record $5.2 million (€4.87 million), up threefold in 2021. The company, based in Sunrise (Florida, United States), strengthened its commercial network by hiring specialised professionals to access new markets, including more countries in Latin America. In addition, the company expanded its facilities at the end of 2022 to modernise its surface finishing centre in North America.
