ATEX Fully Powered Tipping Station

STS have designed and manufactured this ATEX hydraulic drum tilter suitable for use in Zoned 1 and 21 areas. The machine has telescopic lift, power drive, power clamp and power tilt. The tipper has a tilt height of up to 2700mm and can move 50-220 litre drums types.

The unit has the following Features:

ATEX power-drive control system- A airline system powers the pneumatic power drive system. The drums can then be manoeuvred around the workplace by controlling a throttle on the steering tiller. Operators can improve efficiency levels with this air powered system allowing them to move larger quantities of drums throughout the day.

Telescopic pneumatic-hydraulic lift- This unit had a requirement for lifting drums tall vessels within a manufacturing process. Similar to a forklift, our telescopic drum tilter can lift and rotate drums at heights of up to 2700mm with ease.

Powered clamp and rotation- Power clamp and rotate option is ideally suited when handling a variety of small and large drums. This clamping unit allows operators to quickly swap between large and small barrels which is ideal for time-critical processes. A constant tension safety system is fitted to all our clamp models to ensure that drums always remain securely squeezed by the clamping arms. Power clamp drum tilters also require two individual unclamp buttons to be pressed together to open the clamp pads.
