Introduction to Jin Tongshan Landfill Waste Treatment Project

Project Overview

The Jin Tongshan Landfill Waste Treatment Project in Yinzhou District, Ningbo, aims to comprehensively treat waste of two landfills located within the Jin Tongshan mining area in Wuxiang Town. The project covers a total area of about 25,000 square meters and involves excavating over 120,000 cubic meters from two landfill areas – north and south.

Project Painpoint

The disposal of waste at these landfills is very challenging. The waste in the northern area is mostly construction waste, which is unevenly distributed. In the southern area, the waste materials at the top layer are construction waste and household waste, the middle layer is slag, and the bottom layer is bedrock, which have all posed great difficulties in waste treatment.

Project Highlights

Compared to the previous projects, the project has the following highlights.

EPC Contracting Model

JONO adopts the EPC contracting model for this project, covering construction of the plant building, landfill excavation, transportation, screening, disposal, backfilling, dust and odor control, and wastewater treatment.

Zoning & Layered Operation Mode

The excavation and transportation of waste deposits were carried out using a zoning and layered operation mode to maintain the stability of the pile.

Eco-friendly

In the enclosed screening workshop, two production lines are set up to process different types of materiasl. Meanwhile, in order to control the dust and ordors on site, equipment such as fixed point wind curtain spraying, mobile wind cannon, and high-position spraying have been installed around the field.

The leachate generated during the waste disposal process will be gathered and transported through sewage pipes to the sewage treatment unit for proper processing, ensuring environment protection.

High Recyclability

The combustible materials that have been sorted out will be taken to a facility with the proper permits for incineration; the inert materials such as bricks and stones will be used for constructing road subgrade; and the muck will be processed and used for landscaping. All these Maximize the recycling of renewable resources

Conclusion

With daily processing capacity of 6000 tons, the Jin Tongshan Landfill Waste Treatment Project adopts the advanced screening and dispose technology for stale refuse, which can realize the resourceful, reduction and harmless treatment of landfilled waste. This project provides a standardized and replicable model for the disposal of other landfilled waste, and has made positive contributions to the sustainable development of Ningbo.
