JONO’s Organic Waste Solution

Chongqing Organic Waste Treatment Plant Project

Introduction

This projec is located in Xiajiaba Smart Solid Waste Logistics Transfer Port in Yubei District, Chongqing. It involves handling food waste and kitchen waste from six districts, such as Yubei, Jiangbei and so on. It is a fully automatic food waste sorting project that has been actively promoted by the government of Chongqing, with a daily processing capacity of up to 400 tons.

Project Highlight

Innovative Processing solution

Organic waste primarily consists of kitchen waste, catering waste, fruit and vegetable waste, garden and greening waste and ect.

At present, there is no fixed model for the treatment of kitchen waste for the promotion of garbage classification policies is different from place to place, and the quality of kitchen waste also shows significant differences. Moreover, organic waste is a rotten and smelly waste, and some organic waste treatment processes commonly have problems such as complicated processes and difficult to control on-site environmental conditions.

To solve these difficulties, JONO has adopted a new treatment model, which includes mechanical crushing, mechanical screening, and other pre-treatment processes for organic waste, followed by anaerobic and composting biological treatment, and finally, the end-product is coordinated with incineration for resource utilization and harmless treatment.

High Screening Efficiency

The organic waste collected by the vehicle is transported to the sorting workshop, where it undergoes bag-breaking, screening, magnetic separation, air separation, and optical sorting systems to separate organic matter, combustible materials, metals, high-quality plastics, and other substances from the waste.

This highly effective system achieves an accuracy rate of over 95% in identifying and separating plastic, metal, and organic matter from the waste. It transforms traditional waste into valuable resources and maximizes waste utilization.

High Economic Efficiency

In order to maximize economic benefits, the organic matter sorted out is transported to the Luoqi Industrial Park for further dry anaerobic digestion to produce biogas, while the metals are sold; the combustible waste is burned for fuel; and the clean plastics, after being dried, are sent to a plastic deep processing plant to achieve greater economic value.

Conclusion

The construction and operation of this project effectively address kitchen waste in Chongqing, significantly improve the error-tolerance capacity of mechanical and automated processing facilities for residential waste sorting, reduce secondary transportation costs, enhance treatment effectiveness, and promote waste reduction, harmlessness, and resource utilization.
