JONO’s Bulky Waste Solution

Nanning Bulky Waste Treatment Project

Project Overview
The Nanning Santang Bulky Waste Treatment Center is located on the first floor of the Santang Municipal Solid Waste Transfer Station. The facility spans 600 square meters and is designed to process up to 100 tons of bulky waste, with a single processing line capacity of 8–15 tons per hour.

The project focuses on collecting and treating bulky household waste such as sofas, beds, mattresses, and chairs, using a door-to-door collection system. Once delivered to the facility, these large items are shredded and sorted into wood, metal, and combustible materials. Wood and metal are recycled and sold, while combustible materials are compressed and sent for energy recovery through incineration. The system includes a dust control unit to ensure clean and pollution-free operations.

Project Highlights
Located within a large urban waste transfer station in Santang, streamlining the integration with existing waste logistics. Apart from that, the project has the following highlights:

Efficient Processing Capacity: Handles up to 100 tons of bulky waste with a scalable throughput of 8–15t/h per line.

On-Site Recycling: Separates materials into recyclable components (wood and metal) and energy-recoverable waste.

Door-to-Door Collection: Reduces illegal dumping by offering a convenient home pickup service for residents.

Eco-Friendly Design: Equipped with a dust control and gas filtration system to eliminate pollution during processing.

Replicable Model: The project provides a sustainable, scalable model for bulky waste reduction and recycling that can be replicated in other cities' transfer stations, incineration plants, and waste treatment centers.

Conclusion
The Nanning Santang Bulky Waste Treatment Center is a pioneering project that it transforms waste into valuable resources, promotes circular economy principles, and serves as a model solution for other municipalities seeking efficient, clean, and scalable bulky waste disposal systems. The project adopts a door-to-door collection model, offering residents a convenient way to dispose of large unwanted items. Upon arrival at the facility, waste is fed into an automated processing line, where it is shredded and separated into:
Wood – recycled and sold
Metal – recovered for reuse
Combustible waste – compressed and incinerated for energy recovery
The center is also equipped with a dust and gas control system to ensure clean and pollution-free operations and significantly enhances urban solid waste management by addressing the long-standing issue of bulky waste misplacement and environmental impact.
