Groundbreaking ceremony for new TBH GmbH building

TBH GmbH begins construction of new production and logistics building in Straubenhardt

Straubenhardt, October 15, 2025 – On October 15, 2025, the groundbreaking ceremony took place for the new production and logistics building and an adjacent parking garage for TBH GmbH from Straubenhardt on Heinrich-Hertz-Straße. Straubenhardt's mayor Helge Viehweg, architect Jörg Mössner and his colleagues from the architectural firm, representatives of Sparkasse Pforzheim/Calw, Jochen Fauth from the Straubenhardt municipal council, Mr. Auer from the municipality of Straubenhardt and employees of the company were on site to celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony for the new building. Production and storage space, offices, and a parking garage with 50 parking spaces are being built on a total area of 4000 m² – sustainably with a green roof, PV system, charging stations for electric cars, and district heating. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2027.

We would like to thank the municipality, the municipal council, the mayor, and the Sparkasse for their trust and support," said Lars Hartmann, one of the managing directors, at the groundbreaking ceremony. Straubenhardt's mayor, Helge Viehweg, is also delighted that the company has remained loyal to the region since its foundation in 1992 and has two regional partners at its side for the construction project in the form of the architectural firm and the Sparkasse. He is pleased with the company's strong positive development and mentioned that the company is a good example for the region, especially with regard to the creation of new jobs. He wishes TBH GmbH all the best and further growth.

Design planning for the new building began in the summer of 2024. Earthworks will take place over the next four weeks, with the shell of the building scheduled to be completed in a year's time. The building, with walls, ceilings, and floor slabs made of reinforced concrete, is scheduled for completion at the end of 2027. The parking garage is a hybrid construction and will have wooden cladding. The architectural firm is being assisted by an energy consultant to ensure sustainable construction and compliance with the relevant guidelines. The building will be equipped with large windows to provide optimal light inside. It will offer space for around 90 additional employees and strengthen the Straubenhardt location.
