Temposonics announces DT connector system for mobile hydraulic sensors
Lüdenscheid, Deutschland - Temposonics, an Amphenol (NYSE: APH) company, announces the new DT connector system for magnetostrictive position sensors.
This new connector system allows Temposonics® linear position sensors embedded in hydraulic cylinders to effortlessly interface with the most common connectors from the Tyco/Deutsch DT and compatible connector family. This new option builds upon the existing Temposonics® M12 connector system which is widely used in mobile hydraulic applications world-wide.
The DT connector system is designed to be used with embedded MH-Series sensors and mount securely to the surface of the cylinder. The connector is integrated easily into any cylinder design by requiring only simple round geometries to be machined. The connector can be mounted at any rotational angle and provides features for keying to a desired orientation. Once positioned, the connector can be retained using standard screws or a unique stainless-steel retainer for simplified installation. When properly assembled, the system is sealed to IP69K standards with or without a mating connector. The system supports both analog and CANbus outputs for MH-Series sensors.
DT style connectors are the most widely used electrical interconnect for heavy equipment manufacturers. They are rugged, threadless, and utilize a positive latching assembly, and the new Temposonics® system takes full advantage of these qualities. For the millions of off-highway machines that already utilize this connector style, a compatible Temposonics® MH-Series sensor configured with the new DT connector system reduces cost by eliminating extraneous adapters and jumper cables.
