Third Dimension's Violet Laser sensor heads attract a crowd at Advanced Engineering

Our latest innovation, the violet laser sensor head, was accepted onto the Innovations Tour at Advanced Engineering at the end of October. We were delighted to welcome 4 groups of 20 professionals to our stand to learn about and see the GapGun Pro wi

Violet laser sensor heads use the shortest visible wavelength and enhanced software intelligence to extend the range of materials which can be measured by our GapGun Pro and Vectro systems. Auto-makers now have a single tool for all inline gap and flush measurements, including light clusters, chrome headlights, tail lights, and all other common automotive surface finishes.

At the exhibition, we also showcased our automated measurement system, Vectro. Vectro automates the advanced non-contact feature measurement capabilities of the GapGun Pro, our bestselling handheld laser measurement system. The device works either robot mounted or in fixtured applications; the consistent fixtured positioning of the Vectro helps to eliminate possibility of human error, resulting in maximum reliability of results. Vectro is made versatile and efficient due to being compatible with our full range of V-change sensor heads and when using our Link software, can be built into any application to instantly retrieve and download your results.

The demonstrations and tours that we held at our stand offered great conversation with prospective customers as they witnessed and learnt about how our products work in action; if you would like to arrange a live demo of any of our products, you can simply email sales@third.com.
