Third Dimension, one of four UK companies featured in new national guide for exporting

Third Dimension is featured in a new national exporting guide out today (Thursday 12 November 2015). It is one of only four companies selected from across the UK to be included part in the guide, which aims to boost exports. The guide is designed to make more manufacturers aware of the benefits of exporting and the wealth of Government support available to help them.

The free guide - Britain’s Global Adventure: the Export Opportunity – is part of a campaign which aims to inspire and support an additional 100,000 companies to export by 2020. The guide explains the benefits to companies of exporting and the positive impact export growth will have on the wider UK economy.

Third Dimension employs 28 people and exports to over 30 countries worldwide. Exports now account for 86% of its annual turnover and it is making inroads into the emerging economies, with China and Brazil becoming large markets and customers in India.

It isn’t the first time that Third Dimension has been recognised for its exporting prowess – earlier this year it received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International category and was also the regional winner of the Outstanding Export Award at the EEF/Aldermore Future Manufacturing Awards.

In a foreword, the Minister for Trade and Investment, the Rt Hon Lord Maude, says that UK products are enhancing the quality of people’s lives across the globe and demonstrate the UK’s leadership and manufacturing prowess. But he adds that the UK can and must do more as exporting is vital for ensuring UK growth and prosperity in today’s global economy.
