Topcast is pleased to introduce the new TCC Vacuum Casting Machines.

Our TCC continuous casting machines have the peculiarity of working in vacuum and / or inert gas. This allows a fusion of the metal in a protected environment, avoiding any type of oxidative phenomena, and this allows to obtain semi-finished products with oxygen content below few ppm.

The melting chamber consists of a graphite crucible and a stopper. This greatly increases the safety of the machine, because there is the manual and automatic possibility of interrupting the casting at any moment without spilling liquid metal by lowering the stopper.

The induction heating at medium frequency allows a perfect homogeneity of the melt, thanks to the constant agitation of the metal, while the temperature gradient between the crucible, the beginning of the die and the exit of the solid semi-finished product is perfectly monitored by a series of independent temperature controls .

Furthermore we have developed a new design of the die that allows a very rapid replacement of the crucible-die assembly (less than 10 minutes, without the need for adhesives or centering devices) but above all, thanks to the universal crucible-die attachment, it is possible to use only one crucible for all types of semi-finished products (sheets, wires, tubes etc). Moreover, it is possible to use the same set of wheels for every kind of products (sheets, wires, tubes etc.) with a great savings for your company.

The self-centering of the rollers allows to further save time in the transition from one set-up to another, also eliminating the tensions on the semi-finished product during the pulling, while the digital control of all the process parameters (temperatures, pulling speed, flow of the cooling water around the die, even the initial position of the dummy bar etc.) allows an unlimited number of casting programs to be saved and edited at any time; the operator will only have to load the desired program from the monitor and the machine will perform the casting cycle independently.

Our TCC machines are also equipped with a data acquisition system that allows sampling of the process variables and is equipped with a report function after each cycle. The data can be displayed in graphic format or exported to an external PC for subsequent analysis.

Our continuous casting machines can also be equipped with a series of additional accessories such as additional loading chamber for continuous production, second induction generator on the die for restarting in the event of plant shutdown, cooling system by water sprinkles, automatic semi-finished cutting on the run and so on ..
