TYVA Energie powers the Weasel, a hydrogen military drone

Our ultra-thin Flat 12 lithium batteries at the heart of a UGV designed for the French Army

TYVA Energie equipped the Weasel, a stealthy and rugged military unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) designed by H2X Ecosystems for the French Army, with two Flat 12 lithium batteries from its Flat & Kube range.

The challenge: fitting a high-performance energy source into a chassis with very limited space. Each just 10 cm thick, our Flat 12 batteries are connected in series to deliver over 100 V and 234.5 Ah. TYVA Energie assembled the complete energy system, which includes a cooling plate shared by the batteries and the hydrogen fuel cell, developed with H2X Ecosystems. The whole system weighs only 145 kg.

Combined with hydrogen, our batteries give the Weasel long-lasting autonomy: its tank can be swapped in 30 seconds, with no recharging needed. The vehicle was built in 5 months with the support of TYVA Energie’s engineers and unveiled at Eurosatory 2022.
