International FoodTec-Award for the Hygienic Dispenser
DLG silver medal for the innovative dispenser concept from ViscoTec
The DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft) recently announced the winners of the International FoodTec-Award 2018. ViscoTec Pumpen- u. Dosiertechnik GmbH is one of the winners of this year’s award. A total of 17 innovative projects will be awarded by the international food and supply industry. Five products receive the International FoodTec Award in gold and twelve innovations receive the silver award. The award winning companies come from Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Russia, Switzerland and Germany.
The International FoodTec Prize is awarded every three years. It is organised by the DLG in cooperation with specialists and media partners: the EFFoST (European Federation of Food Science and Technology), Anuga FoodTec, the trade journals “Fleischwirtschaft” and “Fleischwirtschaft international”, the magazines “European Dairy Magazine” and “Deutsche Milchwirtschaft”, the trade journal “FOOD Lab – Qualitätsmanagement, Analytik und Nachhaltigkeit”, the trade journal “DLG-Lebensmittel” published by DLG-Verlag as well as the magazine published by LT Food Medien-Verlag.
ViscoTec was nominated and awarded – the company receives the silver medal for the Hygienic Dispenser. These Dispenser is based on the proven endless piston principle (progressive cavity technology) and focus on the highest hygienic and cleaning requirements. The Hygienic Dispenser enables the high-precision and gentle dosing and filling of very small quantities of liquids or highly viscous pastes in the food industry. Automated solutions with the dispenser can be realized with robots or other systems. With the small and compact design of these kind of progressive cavity pumps, chocolate or sugar coatings can be applied to baked goods, for example. At Anuga FoodTec, ViscoTec shows its latest product: An even smaller dispenser with a minimum dosing quantity of approx. 0.06 ml and an accuracy of +/-1 %. The optional adjustable suck-back guarantees a clean process without dripping and with perfect thread break. This enables several applications in a wide variety of food processes.
The award ceremony of the International FoodTec Award 2018 will take place on the 20th of March at Anuga FoodTec, the world’s leading trade fair for food and beverage technology, in Cologne. ViscoTec is part of the Robotik-Pack-Line at Anuga FoodTec and presents the Hygienic Dispenser in hall 7.1 at booth D090 F109.
