Application of power amplifier in foveated imaging of liquid crystal lens
Name of experiment: foveated imaging of liquid crystal lens
Research direction:Liquid crystal lens imaging system
Content of experiment: The combined lens system is used to image the object, so that the LCD lens area is clear and has a large field of view and high local resolution. The effect of the mode aperture matching with the liquid crystal lens and the position of the liquid crystal lens on the imaging quality is analyzed by experimental measurement.
Purpose of experiment:Display the clear imaging effect of the imaging system for local areas, measure the MTF of the imaging system at different positions and at different apertures, and analyze its influence on the imaging quality.
Test equipment: camera, lens, function generator, power amplifier ATA-2042, combined lens system
Experimental process:
1. The liquid crystal lens was prepared in the laboratory, and the wavefront information was obtained by interference method, zernike coefficient was obtained by analysis, and the performance parameters of the liquid crystal lens were obtained to select the appropriate driving voltage.
2. Assemble an imaging system and experiment with images of objects in different regions. An ISO 12233 board was used to focus the imaging system, and MTF values of different apertures and positions of the liquid crystal lens were tested.
Result of experiment:
When the liquid crystal lens is not charged (FIG. 1), it is focused at infinity and the objects near it are blurred. When the LCD lens is charged (FIG. 2), the LCD lens area works and focuses on the tiger part of the picture, which shows a clear difference in clarity between the FIG. 1 and FIG. 2.
The role of the amplifier in this experiment:
Amplify the signal of function generator, output high voltage signal, drive liquid crystal lens to work.
