"Optical Fiber Sensors and LiDAR" Technical Forum

On December 2, 2024, the "Optical Fiber Sensors and LiDAR" technical sub-forum, hosted by the Hubei Sensor Industry Association, was held at the Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center as part of the 2024 Sensor Conference. The forum focused on the latest research findings and practical applications of optical fiber sensor and LiDAR technologies. Over 200 distinguished guests from government, academia, industry, research institutes, and investment fields gathered for this event. Through in-depth communication and intellectual exchange, participants discussed the industry's development blueprint and promoted collaborative innovation and integration across sectors.

During the forum, several industry leaders and experts presented insightful reports. Dr. Lian Zhenggang, Technical Director of Yangtze Optical Electronic Co., Ltd. (YOEC), delivered a presentation titled "Development and Application Technologies of Special Optical Fibers for Sensing," in which he elaborated on YOEC’s innovative achievements and technological breakthroughs in the field of special optical fibers, showcasing the company's deep expertise and forward-looking vision in sensing technology.

In addition, Professor Meng Zhou from the National University of Defense Technology, Professor Lu Ping from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Professor Hu Yihua's team from the National University of Defense Technology, Professor Zhou Zebing's team from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Professor Mao Qingzhou's team from Wuhan University, Li Chuanwen, Chairman of Wuhan Lintu Sensing Technology Co., Ltd., Dong Yong, Director of the R&D Department of Xian Dao Technology Group Central Research Institute, Yang Yunchen, Chairman of Saiwei Electronics, and Dr. Jiang Hongquan discussed various topics including fiber hydrophone technology, photoacoustic detection technology, material composition analysis, the Tianqin Plan and detection technology, ultrahigh frequency mid-high altitude LiDAR, integrated light sources for LiDAR, vertical integration capabilities in the LiDAR field, and how MEMS foundry capabilities can empower LiDAR chips.

This event was not only a feast for technical exchange but also an important platform for promoting collaborative innovation and integration in the industry. Through deep communication and intellectual collisions, participants discussed future development trends and application prospects for optical fiber sensors and LiDAR technologies, providing valuable ideas and suggestions for advancing collaboration and integration across industries.
