YOEC Advances AI, Sensing & Thermal Solutions at CIOE 2026

From September 9 to 11, 2026, the China International Optoelectronic Exposition (CIOE 2026) was successfully held in Shenzhen. Wuhan Yangtze Optical Electronic Co., Ltd. (YOEC, Stock Code: 688143) made a strong appearance at Booth 11A15 in Hall 11, presenting three major solution areas — AI computing infrastructure, optical sensing, and thermal management — and demonstrating its full-chain innovation capabilities in specialty optical fiber technologies.

During the exhibition, YOEC’s Chief Technology Officer Dr. Zhenggang Lian chaired the “Advanced Specialty Optical Fiber Technologies and Applications” session at the OGC Conference (W1). The company also held the launch event for “YOEC’s Device PM Fiber Technologies and Mass Production Achievements,” showcasing its technological breakthroughs and industrialization capabilities in polarization-maintaining (PM) fiber.

AI Computing Infrastructure Solutions: Building the Foundation for High-Speed Optical Connectivity

Driven by the rapid growth of AI computing and the increasing demand for high-density optical interconnects such as CPO and NPO, YOEC showcased a comprehensive portfolio of optical connectivity solutions based on its specialty fiber and advanced material platforms.
Key products included six categories of device-grade polarization-maintaining fibers — including standard, FAU-compatible, bend-insensitive, ultra-thin, tapered, and waveguide-type PM fibers — as well as multimode fibers, MPO micro-bundle cables, and high-speed optical components.
By integrating advanced materials, specialty optical fibers, optical cables, optoelectronic systems, and high-end equipment development, YOEC has established a vertically integrated micro-industrial chain, providing critical support for next-generation optical modules and high-performance data center interconnects.

Optical Fiber Sensing Solutions: Enabling Intelligent Monitoring Across Industries

Leveraging its expertise in advanced materials, specialty optical fibers, and fiber coil manufacturing technologies, YOEC presented diversified sensing solutions covering power systems, underwater monitoring, and emerging low-altitude applications.
Featured products included fiber optic current sensors (FOCS), which utilize the high sensitivity, excellent insulation, and strong electromagnetic interference immunity of fiber coils to provide non-contact and precise sensing solutions for power grid monitoring, fault detection, and intelligent inspection.
YOEC also showcased fiber optic vector hydrophones, fiber vibration sensors, and towed fiber optic cables, supporting applications such as pipeline inspection, marine exploration, infrastructure monitoring, and low-altitude economy scenarios.
