YOEC Attended At The Wuhan Alumni Low-Altitude Economy Seminar
On December 14, 2024, the Wuhan Alumni Low-Altitude Economy Seminar was successfully held at the Zhongjian Fudi Center, guided by the People's Government of Hongshan District, hosted by the District Economic and Technology Bureau and the District Commerce Bureau, and organized by the National University of Defense Technology Hubei Alumni Association, with cooperation from several alumni associations, including the Hubei Alumni Association of Sichuan University. Over 150 participants attended the seminar, including industry experts, university professors, and enterprise representatives from across the country.
Mr. Pi Yabin, Chairman of Yangtze Optical Electronic Co., Ltd. (YOEC) and President of the Hubei Alumni Association of Sichuan University, Dr. Lian Zhenggang, R&D Director of YOEC, and Mr. Peng Chong, Technical Manager of YOEC, were invited to attend the seminar.
The Deputy District Mayor, Mr. Wu Lei, delivered the opening speech and introduced investment promotion efforts. He emphasized, "Hongshan is renowned for its beautiful mountains and clear waters, offering an advantageous location. The district is home to numerous universities, gathering top talent and fostering innovation. Hongshan has strong economic strength, with a booming industry and robust development. With the support of capital, resources are well-integrated, offering solid backing for business development. The potential for innovation is enormous, and Hongshan presents vast opportunities for growth."
In the keynote speech session, Mr. Pi Yabin, Chairman of YOEC, along with seven other industry representatives and experts, gave presentations on topics such as improving low-altitude economy infrastructure, deepening management reforms in the low-altitude field, optimizing the low-altitude industry chain, expanding low-altitude economic application scenarios, enhancing innovation capacity, strengthening low-altitude economic security measures, and promoting talent cultivation in the low-altitude economic industry. These contributions aimed to accelerate the development of the low-altitude economy in Wuhan and Hongshan District.
In his speech, Mr. Pi first expressed his gratitude to the Hongshan District Government for organizing the seminar. He pointed out that Hongshan District has rich technological resources and talent advantages, with numerous universities, research institutions, and innovative technology companies providing strong intellectual support for the development of the low-altitude economy. He further introduced YOEC's business, which focuses on special optical fibers and inertial navigation in the optoelectronics field, noting the close connection between the company's products and the low-altitude economy, particularly in applications related to navigation, communication, and monitoring in low-altitude aircraft. Lastly, Mr. Pi stated that YOEC is willing to work closely with the Hongshan District Government, universities in Hubei, and relevant enterprises in the low-altitude economy industry chain, to strengthen technological cooperation, promote the integration of the low-altitude economy, and expand application scenarios, ultimately contributing to the development of Hongshan's low-altitude economy.
Following this, Dr. Lian Zhenggang, Technical Director of YOEC, presented a report titled "Integration of Optoelectronic Technology and the Low-Altitude Economy: New Opportunities for the Drone Industry." He elaborated on YOEC's technological innovations and practical applications in the low-altitude economy industry chain, such as fiber optic gyroscopes for inertial navigation, laser radar for intelligent mapping, multi-core rotating optical fiber for wing deformation sensing, and security applications at the Ezhou security experimental base. His presentation showcased YOEC's technological advantages and market prospects in the low-altitude economy.
The low-altitude economy, as a strategic emerging industry, represents a new form of productivity and is becoming a new engine for global economic transformation and upgrading. It not only helps optimize industrial structures and promote regional economic coordination but also plays a vital role in driving economic recovery and fostering innovation worldwide. YOEC, with 14 years of experience in the optoelectronics field, will continue to leverage its strengths in special optical fibers and inertial navigation, strengthen collaboration with upstream and downstream enterprises, and co-develop new products and technologies for the low-altitude economy. By expanding its business areas and extending the industrial chain, YOEC aims to contribute to the development of Wuhan as a hub for the low-altitude economy and promote the sustainable development of the low-altitude economy.
