Wuhan FIC Delegation Visits YOEC

Wuhan Federation of Industry and Commerce Delegation Visits YOEC for Exchange and Learning

On the morning of October 11, 2025, a delegation from the Wuhan Federation of Industry and Commerce, accompanied by representatives of private entrepreneurs, visited Yangtze Optical Electronic Co., Ltd. (YOEC, stock code: 688143) for an exchange activity. The visit aimed to build a communication bridge between the government and enterprises, help private entrepreneurs learn from exemplary companies, and promote the high-quality development of enterprises.
At the beginning of the event, Mr. Pi Yabin, Chairman and President of YOEC, personally led the delegation to tour the company’s R&D and testing building. Through immersive observation, the guests gained an in-depth understanding of YOEC’s strong technical R&D capabilities, industry-leading manufacturing standards, and its standardized production system covering the entire process. They also gained a deeper appreciation of YOEC’s development philosophy of “technology as the foundation, quality as the core.”
During the following symposium, Mr. Pi delivered a keynote speech themed “Specialization, Refinement, Distinctiveness, and Innovation Strategy and the Journey of Entrepreneurship and Innovation.” He noted that compared with the “Hidden Champions” concept proposed by German management scholar Hermann Simon, China’s “Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative” (SRDI) approach carries unique local characteristics and development vitality—serving as the Chinese version of the hidden champion model. Since its establishment, YOEC has focused on the fiber coil industry, deeply cultivating its niche field and forming a “5+1 concentric development model” to continuously strengthen its competitive advantages.
Speaking from his entrepreneurial experience, Mr. Pi summarized his insights into three key points:
The key to enterprise development lies in “setting the strategy, building the team, and leading the people.” Only with clear direction and strong leadership can a company achieve long-term stability and success.
Entrepreneurs should embody the virtue and vision of “cultivating oneself, managing the family, governing the state, and contributing to the world,” leading enterprises with a strong sense of responsibility and moral integrity.
Entrepreneurship is “a road of no return and a monk’s pilgrimage,” requiring constant dedication to the well-being of all employees.
Based on this philosophy, YOEC places great emphasis on corporate culture development and has created its unique “Dual Respect Culture” as the foundation of innovation, fostering a resonance between employee self-realization and enterprise growth.
In the subsequent discussion session, representatives from enterprises such as Jinguang Medical, Huayi Electric, Yangfei Intelligent, Daqo New Energy, Jinpan Intelligent, Zhongke Tiangong, Gaosheng Weiye, Huamao Automation, Anpai Optoelectronics, and Zhongbu Qingtian actively shared their views, sparking many insightful exchanges.
Ms. Hu Xueying, Director of the Publicity Department of the Wuhan Federation of Industry and Commerce, expressed her admiration, noting that Chairman Pi’s entrepreneurial journey was highly innovative, breaking away from traditional models and showcasing a spirit of bold exploration and innovation. She emphasized that YOEC’s focus on innovation and cultural development, aligned with national strategies, exemplifies the sense of responsibility and mission of an outstanding entrepreneur—an experience worthy of study and emulation by the broader private sector.
Ms. Tang Fang, Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department of Jiangxia District and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Jiangxia Federation of Industry and Commerce, highly praised YOEC’s achievements. She remarked that YOEC’s technological strength is truly “hardcore,” having successfully overcome critical “bottleneck” challenges and built a complete industrial chain for fiber coils—making significant contributions to industrial self-reliance and control. She was particularly impressed by the company’s advanced management practices and its unique “Dual Respect Culture,” which plays an important role in team management and employee motivation. She expressed hope that more outstanding enterprises in Jiangxia District would take YOEC as a benchmark, actively learning from its success. She also emphasized that the District Federation of Industry and Commerce would continue to strengthen its role as a bridge, creating more platforms for enterprise cooperation and promoting regional industrial synergy.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Li Chao, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the Wuhan Federation of Industry and Commerce, highly commended the event, describing it with four “goods”—“good theme, good format, good content, and good results.” He stressed that private entrepreneurs should position their development within the broader context of the new national development framework and align with Wuhan’s strategic goals. He noted that the “Learning from Leading Enterprises” initiative provides a platform for learning, benchmarking, optimizing, and improving. This visit to YOEC, he said, offered participants valuable insights into new paths for innovation in the SRDI field. Finally, he expressed his hope that the Federation would continue using this initiative as a bridge to connect more exemplary enterprises like YOEC, fostering regular communication and collaboration among businesses, and jointly injecting new vitality into the high-quality development of Wuhan’s private economy.
