YOEC At Beijing Photonics Expo 2026
YOEC Showcases Core Solutions at the 2026 Beijing Photonics Expo
From July 17 to 19, 2026, the 17th Photonics Expo Beijing was held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Focusing on cutting-edge technologies such as infrared and low-light imaging, lasers and intelligent manufacturing, optical communications and sensing, and precision optics, the event serves as an important barometer for the high-quality development of China’s optoelectronics industry.
Yangtze Optical Electronic Co., Ltd. (YOEC, Stock Code: 688143) showcased integrated solutions across three core business areas.
1. Comprehensive Fiber-Optic Gyroscope Solutions
With Sagnac interferometric fiber coils at its core, YOEC has developed a “5+1” concentric-circle product strategy and established an integrated, closed-loop industrial chain covering optical fibers, adhesives, fiber coils, optical modules, and manufacturing equipment.
YOEC’s miniaturized all-optical modules for fiber-optic gyroscopes combine high precision, compact size, cost efficiency, and high reliability. They are widely used in aerospace, smart grids, marine monitoring, and other fields.
2. Comprehensive Underwater Acoustic Fiber-Optic Sensing Solutions
Guided by its strategic commitment to advancing marine technologies, YOEC has established four core capability platforms covering underwater acoustic fiber-optic sensors, optoelectronic signal demodulation systems, underwater acoustic fiber-optic sensing arrays, and fiber-optic underwater acoustic detection systems, contributing to China’s strategy of building strength in the marine sector.
3. Integrated Thermal Management Solutions
YOEC’s holding subsidiary, Yangtze Thermal Control Technology Co., Ltd., specializes in thermal-control materials, components, and systems. It provides integrated solutions for thermal energy storage, cold energy storage, heat exchange, and heat dissipation.
Its products are widely used in aerospace, new energy vehicles, energy storage, and other industries.
4. Engagement at Two Concurrent Forums
1) 2026 Conference on High-Precision Fiber-Optic Sensing Technologies and Applications
Dr. Gao Wei, Principal R&D Engineer at YOEC, delivered a presentation titled “Research on Radiation-Resistant Specialty Optical Fiber Technologies for High-Precision Space-Grade Fiber-Optic Gyroscope Applications.”
The presentation highlighted the latest breakthroughs in three core fiber technologies: panda-type polarization-maintaining fibers, solid-core photonic crystal fibers, and hollow-core photonic crystal fibers.
Radiation-resistant polarization-maintaining fiber: Precise optimization of dopant compositions effectively reduces radiation-induced loss and crosstalk variation.
Pure-silica solid-core photonic crystal fiber: Its dopant-free design prevents the formation of radiation-induced color centers at the physical source, delivering significantly better radiation resistance than conventional panda-type polarization-maintaining fibers.
Hollow-core photonic bandgap fiber: At a cumulative radiation dose of 138 krad, the radiation-induced loss was only 0.45 dB/km—approximately one twenty-seventh that of commercial panda-type polarization-maintaining fibers—providing critical material support for space-grade fiber-optic gyroscope applications.
The presentation sparked lively discussions among the participating experts. Representatives from several aerospace research institutes held in-depth exchanges with Dr. Gao on the technical details of space-grade applications, generating an enthusiastic response.
2) World Photonics Conference 2026 (WPC 2026)
Dr. Lian Zhenggang, Technical Director of YOEC, delivered a research presentation titled “Specialty Optical Fiber Technologies and Applications Across Multiple Domains.”
The presentation systematically showcased YOEC’s latest innovations in reduced-diameter fibers, multicore fibers, and hollow-core fibers. In particular, Dr. Lian introduced new optical fibers designed for specific operating wavelengths in sensing and high-power ultrafast laser transmission, addressing diverse requirements across biomedical, industrial, and scientific research applications.
International experts spoke highly of YOEC’s specialty optical fiber technologies and their proven performance in large-scale applications. Several overseas experts visited YOEC’s booth to explore potential cooperation opportunities.
