YOEC Hosts Inaugural Optoelectronic Information Committee Event

On September 17, the inaugural offline event of the Optoelectronic Information Committee of the Wuhan “Touyan” Alliance was successfully held at Wuhan Yangtze Optical Electronic Co., Ltd. (YOEC, Stock Code: 688143). Through company visits, keynote sharing, resource matchmaking, and working discussions, the event leveraged the Committee as a collaborative platform to explore new pathways for specialized and innovative development and industrial cooperation within the optoelectronics sector.
At the beginning of the event, Pi Yabin, Chairman of the Optoelectronic Information Committee of the Wuhan “Touyan” Alliance and Chairman & President of YOEC, warmly welcomed the delegation and led a tour of YOEC’s exhibition hall and production facilities. Participants gained first-hand insights into advanced optoelectronic technologies, YOEC’s core capabilities in specialty optical fibers, and locally developed innovative applications, while experiencing the broad application potential of optoelectronic technologies across various industries.
During the sharing session, Mr. Pi delivered a presentation titled “Deepening Expertise in Niche Markets to Become a Specialized and Innovative ‘Little Giant’ Enterprise.” Drawing on YOEC’s practical experience, he shared the company’s development path in specialized market segments and discussed key approaches for technology-driven enterprises to improve quality and operational efficiency.
Representatives of the Committee introduced their core businesses, technological strengths, resource capabilities, and cooperation needs. In-depth discussions were held on optoelectronic technology applications, industrial collaborative innovation, and resource connectivity, with participants exploring targeted strategies for coordinated industrial development.
Lu Chunming, Vice Chairman of the Optoelectronic Information Committee, organized discussions on the Committee’s next-stage work. He noted that the Committee will closely align with Wuhan’s industrial development priorities and the key needs of member enterprises, and will regularly organize activities covering technical exchanges, industrial matchmaking, resource sharing, and innovation empowerment. These efforts aim to strengthen connections among technology, talent, enterprises, and application scenarios, while promoting deeper integration between optoelectronic technologies and the real economy.
The meeting also clarified the establishment of designated coordinators across the industrial chain, business, and service segments, while strengthening collaboration with other committees of the Alliance and industry associations. By collecting needs in four key areas—technology R&D, supporting cooperation, testing and certification, and market development—the Committee will establish and dynamically update three key resource and demand lists, creating a long-term mechanism for information exchange, resource sharing, and joint project development.
Pi Yabin stated that, based on the development trends of Wuhan’s optoelectronic information industry and the practical needs of enterprises, the event further clarified the Committee’s key priorities for the second half of the year and its major annual tasks. It also refined responsibilities and implementation plans, laying a solid foundation for the Committee’s regular, standardized, and results-oriented operation.
